The Avro York was a clever adaption of the Lancaster Bomber, retaining four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines but having a much enlarged fuselage. Thirty of them operated scheduled passenger services with BOAC from 1944 until 7 October 1950. Corgi's model G-AGJC "Malmesbury" is shown in its final colour scheme before being withdrawn from service in December 1957.
