First Eastern Counties Buses Limited runs services across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. In the past, it has been known as a predominantly rural operator, with many market day routes serving local towns from small villages and hamlets. This has changed, and today Eastern Counties runs high frequency urban bus networks in towns across East Anglia, linked by fast inter-urban services such as X1. This 115 miles long route offers a half hourly service between Peterborough and the market towns of Wisbech and Kings Lynn; across to the cathedral city of Norwich, and onwards to the coastal resorts of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

50% of the models produced will carry the destination Peterborough via Kings Lynn and 50% will carry the destination Lowestoft via Norwich X1
