Linda Finnie took her HGV licence in 1991 so that she could transport her horses to shows in a lorry instead of a horsebox. However, in 1992 she entered the haulage business in partnership with her mother Margaret, and acquired a Volvo 8 wheeled tipper G611 VBP. Another truck and driver came on board in 1994 and father Harry and sister Irene also became involved with the Company. With five vehicles, the Company, which is based at Cuminestown, Turriff in Aberdeenshire is mainly involved in bulk agricultural work throughout the UK. The Company has won many awards with its vehicles including ‘Best Kept Scottish Fleet’ in 1999, 2000 and 2001 as well as runner up for ‘Best Overall Working Truck in Britain’.
