Corgi Classics |
This famous haulage Company was founded by W.G.D. Pollock in 1935 with one lorry based at Corstorphine to the west of Edinburgh. The fleet had grown to 16 vehicles at the time of nationalisation in 1949, and following de-nationalisation in 1954, the Company moved to Musselburgh, to the east of the City, where it has operated from ever since. The current fleet stands at over 100 vehicles – most of them top of the range Scania, Volvo, DAF and Mercedes-Benz. To mark their 70 years in business, Corgi are releasing a series of four models of vehicle operated during the 50s, 60s & 70s.
