Corgi Classics - Aviation Archive |
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - just about the world's oldest airline - was formed in 1919 and took delivery of its initial order for nine Super Constellations from June 1953 and commenced services with the type in August that year on the non-stop New York-Amsterdam route, although a refuelling stop was necessary on the return service, either at Prestwick or Shannon, due to prevailing winds. Other long-distance routes served by the Super Connies included Australia, South Africa and South America. View other product and find out more about Corgi Classics and Aircraft.
