Limited Edition of 3,000. A fabulous era in Australia motorsport commenced at Philip Island, Victoria, 1960. The Armstrong 500 mile race was limited to standard production saloons built or assembled in Australia. Frank Coad and John Roxburgh took victory on November 20th 1960. The Cresta was the only Vauxhall entered in a field of 45 cars and although there was no award for the outright winner, the Cresta was the first car of all clases to complete the required 167 laps.
