The Lancashire Constabulary ran a fleet of approximately fifty MGA sports cars, driven exclusively by female Police Constables. The idea being that the sight of a female Costable driving such a powerful sports car would make male drivers think twice before breaking the Highway Code! The Ford Zephyr was a standard traffic patrol car. This diorama typicallu illustrates the Annual Inspection carried out by the Chief Constable to ensure that the vehicles are kept in tiptop condition.
