Corgi Classics - TV and Film |
Upon its first airing in the 1970s, 'Kojak' was an instant hit and soon achieved a massive worldwide following, running until the 1980s and then continuing as a series of TV movies. Featuring the instantly recognisable Telly Savalas as Lieutenant Theo Kojak, an abrasive New York detective, the show generated a host of famous catchphrases but most fondly remembered was Kojak's unique love of lollipops. 'Kojak' featured a bronze Buick which was originally released by Corgi in 1976 and included a mechanism recreating the sound of gunfire.
