First Commercial DC-3

The Douglas DC-3 had a greater impact on the civil and miliary air transport scene than any other aircraft of its time. The prototype made its first flight in December 1935. Displayed in its initial role as Douglas Sleeper NC 14988 'Flagship Texas', this particular plane eventually particular plane eventually joined the USAAF and crashed in Missouri in 1942.
