In June 1928, Sidney Harrison, of Charles Burrell and Sons Ltd, joined John Fowler and Co (Leeds) Ltd. With Fowler's works manager, Harold Livesey and Alf Pepper of Fowlers, he built four of these superb engines. To meet the demands of his old Burrell customers, left hand steering gear was fitted. The engines cost £1,470.00. Fowler B6 Super Lion Showmans Engine No 19783 King Carnival II, Registration No EF 4883 was built in April 1932 for Frank McConville of West Hartlepool, Cleveland.
