Limited Edition. The origins of Openshaw Brewery can be traced to 1860. In 1891, the brewery moved from Openshaw to the Victoria Brewery, Aberavon Street in West Gorton. The trading title became Openshaw Brewery Ltd. Taken over by the rapidly expanding, Sheffield based, Hope and Anchor Breweries Ltd in 1957, beer production was transferred to the parent company and the Victoria Brewery was demolished in 1964.
