This Foden HH 5/6 tonner was built in 1929, Registration No WX 2682, Works No 13624. The vehicle was sold to West Riding County Council in 1930 but by 1939 was sent to the scrap yard. The wagon was rescued by Sandy Steele of Culross, Fife, who used the number of a 'D' type tractor 13042 on the wagon. He restored it and rallied it until it was sold to Tom Forrest of Bonnybridge, Stirling. The vehicle was ten sold to Brickwoods Brewery in Portsmouth where its number was changed to TP9530. In 1977 the wagon changed ownership to 'The Penrith Steam Museum' until 1994 when it was bought by current owner, Gareth Jones. Fitted to it is a 1901 'Liftvan' weighing 3-4 tonnes. After a full restoration by Mick Tuxworth, 1996 was the first full year on the rally field. View other product and find out more about Corgi Classics.
