Foden FG 8 Wheel Platform Lorry with Brick Load - Eastwoods. Limited Edition of 2000. Eastwoods was established in 1815 as a sand, lime and builders merchants in Lambeth by John Francis Eastwood, who served as an officer with Wellington. John Francis Eastwood owned Wellington Wharf in Lambeth - the site where the London Festival Hall now stands. In the 1880's a merger with five other brick making firms formed the empire that was Eastwoods Co. Ltd. All Eastwoods bricks were carried by barge until 1910, when they acquired their first steam lorry.
