The Beatles released their album 'Magical Mystery Tour' first in the US in November 1967 and then in the UK in December. Also in December, the film of the same name was given its world premiere in monochrome on BBC Telvision with a real Bedford Val coach in this fantasy livery featuring heavily throughout. Similar vehicles carrying the same decoration can be seen today on sightseeing tours around the city of Liverpool.
