This model depicts 'Knock-out Dropper', a B-17 F-27-BO, S/N 4124605, from the 303rd BG 'Hell's Angels' 359th BS, based at Molesworth, 1943 (Piloted by Lt. John P. Manning on it's 50th mission). Knock Out Dropper was the first Eighth Air Force B-17 to complete both 50 (on 16th November 1943) and 75 combat missions (on 27th March 1944). It was scrapped at Stillwater, Oklahoma in July 1945.
