Corgi Classics - Aviation Archive |
Although originally developed as the Comet 4C for civil use, the largest order for the type was 5 aircraft for RAF Transport Command where it was designated Comet C4. XR397 was the 3rd of these and first flew in January 1962, prior to delivery to No. 216 Squadron at RAF Lyneham. It remained in service here until 1975 when it was purchased by Dan Air, re-registered G-BDIU and flew until November 1979. View other product and find out more about Corgi Classics and Aircraft.
