B-17E 41-24485 went into service with the 8th Air Force's 324th Bombardment Squadron based at Bassingbourne, Cambridgeshire. Coded DF-A, and named 'Memphis Belle' the aircraft archieved celebrity status as the first 8th Air Force Bomber to complete 25 missions. Today the aircraft is on display at Mud Island, Tennessee. This new version features previously unreeleased livery changes including revised nose art to Corgi's previous release.
