ANBM first flew on 6th March 1957 and went into service on the Heathrow to Johannesburg service ten days later. It was leased to Laker Airways Ltd on 8th April 1966. Leases to various airlines followed, but its final Laker Airways operation was from Palma to Gatwick in January 1968. It was sold for lease as PK-ICA to Indonesian Angkasa Civil Air Transport on 20th Januay 1969 and was scrapped at Jakarta Kemyoran Airport a few years later.
