Corgi Classics - Aviation Archive |
Limited Edition. G-ARKA was a Britannia Series 324 (C/N 13516) and was the second of 23 of the type operated by the airline, being bought from Canadian Pacific Air Lines in March 1961, to whom it was previously registered C-CPD. It was later named "Good Fortune" in Cunard Eagle service and continued to service with British Eagle after the name change, until the airline ceased operations in 6th November 1968. It was then leased to Swiss airline, Tellair, in March 1969, but soon withdrawn from use at Coventry in November the same year and was broken up there two years later.
