Limited Edition. The Vickers Vicount was on eof the most successful British-built airlines of all time, with 444 being flown by some 150 operators. It was also the first turboprop airliner to be put into service, powered by four Rolls-Royce Dart engines and first flew on 16th July 1948. N7443 was a V.745D Viscount, built as construction number 199 by Vickers-Armstrong at Borunemouth and was delivered to Capital Airlines on 5th October 1956. The aircraft served faithfully with Captial Airlines and with United Airlines until finally being withdrawn and broken up at Burbank, California in Feburary 1968.
