Limited Edition. BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) ordered their first 15 Boeing 707s in 1958, when BOAC needed a stopgap to complete effectively on the North Atlantic route and to release Comets for other routes before the Super VC010s became available. The 707 entered regular service between London and New York on a three-weekly basis from 6 June 1960. By 1965 extra capacity necessitated the pruchase of two additional Pratt and Whitney turbofan powered 707-336Cs, for cargo use. These aricraft were convertible passenger/cargo aircraft and further purchases were made including 707-336C, G-AXGW (c/n/ 20374) , which was delivered on 6th March 1970.
