Corgi Classics - Aviation Archive |
Comet 4C, XS235, was ordered by the Ministry of Supply in August 1963 as a flying laboratory for radio, radar and navigation trials with the Aeroplane and Armament Evaluation Establishment at Boscombe Down, Wiltshire. Named 'Canopus', it spent all its life with A&AEE to become the last Comet flying, until withdrawal from service in 1997. In October 1997, it was retired and flown to Bruntingthorpe, near Leicester, for preservation by the De Havilland Museum Trust. View other product and find out more about Corgi Classics and Aircraft.
